Funding: Local Food - 16 June 2009
There is now a deadline for first stage applications to be submitted for Local Food grants. This has been introduced due to the high number of strong applications that have already been received for the programme. Grants from £2,000 to £300,000 are available for not-for-profit groups and organisations in England delivering such projects as growing, processing, marketing and distributing local food; composting and raising awareness of the benefits of such activities. The deadline is 21 August and it is unlikely that the programme will reopen after this date.
