RESOURCE: NEW MANAGING CHURCH BUILDING TOOLKIT - 02 December 2009
Hereford Diocese have designed an on-line Toolkit to help churches make the most of their church building for wider community use.  It covers topics such as community audits, planning process, funding tips and managing building projects.  For more details, please click here.
EVENTS: Making more community use of your church building - 29 September 2009
"Crossing the Threshold" conference is being held in Hereford on Thursday 19th November.  There will be a toolkit and DVD launched at the event to help churches make more community use of their building.  Cost is £40.  For more details and a booking form - click here.  This is being run by Hereford Diocese in partnership wtih CUF, English Heritage, Herefordshire Council and National Lottery.
Funding: J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust - 16 September 2009
The J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust has now reopened for new applications. Capital or revenue grants of up to £250,000 over 1 to 3 years are available to registered charities in England with a focus on social welfare or arts & heritage. See the Trust's website for more details.
Funding: Lloyds TSB Foundation Young Offenders Programme - 17 August 2009
The Lloyds TSB Foundation Young Offenders Programme will provide £1 million funding to charities that are improving the life choices and chances of young offenders in England and Wales. The Programme is open to registered charities of any size with a proven track record of working with young offenders.
There is a two stage application process with an initial application deadline of 25 September.
Funding: Erach and Roshan Sadri Foundation - 07 August 2009
The Erach and Roshan Sadri Foundation focusses on education and welfare and the relief of poverty through alleviating homelessness. Grants from a few hundred to several thousand pounds are available to organisations working in the UK. Grants are awarded quarterly and the next application deadline for the September round is 1 September.
