The Birmingham Xchange group is made up of faith-based projects working in
the poorest areas of Birmingham. The group has emerged out of work with
Birmingham Anglican Church Diocese.
"The group that set the project up had all moved on. It’s all really needed. We’re now taking it forward and progressing the work, but its different. The sustainability of people... is vital."

About Xchange Groups
Xchange groups are made up of up to 12 practitioners involved in
faith-based projects. Xchange groups meet 3 to 4 times annually. Find

The methodology refers to a Grounded Theory approach, with use of open
questions to generate discussion. Attendees used flip chart paper to
document specific comments and notes were taken of the discussion. From
the research data comments were clustered manually around specific
themes and presented under appropriate headings. Attendees were able to
comment on draft findings circulated prior to publication.
