The Newcastle Xchange group is made up of faith-based projects working in
the poorest areas of Newcastle. The group has emerged out of work with
Partners in Community Action (PICA)

About Xchange Groups
Xchange groups are made up of up to 12 practitioners involved in
faith-based projects. Xchange groups meet 3 to 4 times annually. Find

The methodology refers to a Grounded Theory approach, with use of open
questions to generate discussion. Attendees used flip chart paper, post-it notes to
document specific comments and notes are taken of the discussion. From
the research data is clustered manually around specific
themes and presented under appropriate headings. Attendees were able to
comment on draft findings circulated prior to publication.
