Acceptance
Use of the CUFX website constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined on this site. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us at website@cufx.org.uk. These terms and conditions apply to all users and members of the CUFX website. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Use of the Site
The CUFX website is intended to provide information to resource faith-based social action organisations, facilitate an online network of these projects and provide an arena for them to use and share their voice
Every effort is made to ensure that information on the website is accurate and up to date. However we cannot guarantee that it is free from inaccuracies, omissions or errors. In situations where information is provided to or compiled every effort will be made to ensure accuracy.
We do not, however, take responsibility for any inaccuracies, omissions or errors, which is attributable to the author of such material. In relation to content created by website users/members, it is the responsibility of the author of any articles, forum entries, blogs, project pages or other member-led content, to ensure that all material is accurate and complete.
Any decision made by an individual using the site based on the information on the site will be the responsibility of the user. Church Urban Fund does not accept liability for any loss arising from any use of or dependence on information or the links on the site (this statement applies as far as the law permits it).
In using the site you indemnify and hold us harmless from any liability, claim of expenses and loss (this includes all fees) arising from your use of the site.
Accessing the website
Some features of this website can only be accessed by registering for an account and logging in to the site. You must not use another person’s log-in details without that person’s express permission. The registered person is responsible for any activities undertaken within their account and should keep their account password secure.
Users and members of the site much not use any ‘spiders’, ‘robots’, ‘offline readers etc that sends more requests to the CUFX servers than it can reasonably respond to. You agree not to harvest any personally identifiable information of other users of this website for any purposes, including commercial purposes.
Privacy policy and information that we collect
CUFX and Church Urban Fund respects the privacy of all who visit our websites.
The CUFX and Church Urban Fund only collects personally identifiable information, with visitor’s knowledge, as part of the membership requirements for the CUFX website, sign ups for information, survey and polls, orders for publications or information requests. Information is only used for the purposes requested or any other usage that has been agreed.
The CUFX/Church Urban Fund does track the number of visitors to the site and this information is used by us aggregating the results, however usage by individuals is not tracked unless this has been agreed with the individual prior to tracking.
Displaying of personal information
Users and members are responsibility for any personal information submitted to pages of the website that are visible to other users/members of the CUFX. Church Urban Fund and CUFX bear no responsibility and cannot be held liable for misuse of this information by other members of the website. We encourage you to consider whether it is appropriate to display your details to other users before submitting them for the website. Please do not display the details of other people without their express permission.
Please note that CUFX/Church Urban Fund will not display or share personal information entered in the Account Profile section of the members Workspace.
Copyright of material
The copyright of all content created by the staff of CUFX and Church Urban Fund belongs to Church Urban Fund.
Users/members of the website own the copyright of any content they create. Submitting content to the CUFX website constitutes giving permission for CUFX display the content other users of the website. Submission of content also constitutes giving permission for other users of the website to access the material. However, CUFX users should not reproduce content created by other users without the permission of the original person who submitted the content.
You can apply conditions to the use of your content by other users at the Creative Commons website.
Users/members are solely responsible for your submission to the CUFX website and in doing so you affirm that you: (a) own the appropriate copyright, licenses etc for the material you submit and in doing so you give CUFX the permission to reproduce this on the website; (b) have appropriate consent, release or permission from the relevant copyright/license owner (c) have written consent, release or permission from any individuals featured in photographs/video content (or from their parent/guardian in the case of minors under the age of 18).
By using the site, users and members agree not to: (a) submit material that is copyrighted or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from the rightful owner to reproduce the material. (b) publish falsehoods or misrepresentations that could damage CUFX or any third party (c) submit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate; (d) post advertisements or solicitations of business: (e) impersonate another person.
Offensive material
CUFX/Church Urban Fund is not liable for any offence caused by content submitted by users/members of the website and reserves the right to remove any member-led content that is deemed to be offensive or inappropriate.
We will do our best to monitor all content uploaded to the website by its users/members for potentially offensive, defamatory or libellous information before it is displayed. This is to protect the wellbeing of all our users. Users have the right to express an opinion, but we will not tolerate or publish content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate.
However, please note that the interpretation of something as offensive can be a subjective opinion in itself and CUFX and Church Urban Fund may not know the implication of every term used. Therefore if you find something that has made it through to the live website offensive, please email website@cufx.org.uk and we will deal with the content as deemed appropriate.
Third party websites
The CUFX website includes links to third party websites. CUFX and Church Urban Fund assume no responsibility and cannot accept liability for the content of third party websites. We encourage you to be aware when you are leaving the CUFX website and to read the terms and conditions of the third party sites you visit. However, CUFX reserves the right to remove links in inappropriate or offensive websites at any time.
Changes to terms and conditions
CUFX/Church Urban Fund reserves the right to change by modification or replace these terms and conditions without notice and usage of the site by individuals following these changes constitutes acceptance of the changes and new terms.
Data Protection
You have the right to request information on the details we hold on you. For a copy please send a letter to the address below requesting the information plus a cheque for £10 to Church Urban Fund, which will cover our administration costs. Included in your letter should be proof of identity such as a copy of your driving licence or passport.
