Since opening in 1996, ASCEND has helped more than 3,500 clients improve their life chances, confidence and skill levels and above all their sense of hope.  Each client who comes to ASCEND begins with a personal guidance session with a trained member of staff, looking at the skills they already have.  Many who come to us, do not believe they have the any abilities employers would want - but organisation, budgeting, negotiating etc. are all part of any person's daily life and are valuable skills.  Many of our clients have little self-belief, many have learning disabiities and most have very love levels of educational attainment, if any qualifications at all.  Throughout their time with us (which can be short or long-term) all our clients are offered practical help, professional guidance and support in job searching or progress to other educational opportunities.
