The new Springfield Children's Centre developed out of a partnership between St Christopher's Church and Birmingham City Council in a predominantly Muslim local community. The research, undertaken by the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) explores the realities of partnership, between faith-based groups and a local authority. It highlights issues related to values and independence, exploring how a distinctive Christian project is developed in a predominantly Muslim community.
