The People's Millions, which is hosted by ITV, is a UK-wide competition that allocates funds to community projects following a public vote.  People's Millions is for projects that transform the local environment or provide opportunities or facilities to allow people to take part and enjoy their local area.  This year's deadline for completed applications is 15 May 2008.

There will be four head-to-head competitions in each of the 18 ITV regions. That means 72 winning projects. In addition there will be another 18 bonus awards for the runners-up who score highest in each region.

This year the maximum grant will be £50,000 plus VAT.
