Hope’s Place is a faith-based Christian charity established in 2005 to encourage emotional wholeness and healing in women and young people through counselling and education. Our non-directive, person-centred counselling and listening services provide support for women and couples with pregnancy related issues, including crisis pregnancy, baby loss and post natal depression.
Examples of best practice:
- Hope’s Place has taken criticisms about their work seriously and tried to reflect on and address any issues as they arise. As a result they have maintained good links and relationships with their partners
- The project has been managed in a business-like way. If something hasn’t been working, they have been simply stopped doing it and changed their approach
- The introduction of ASDAN has been looked on very positively by funding bodies
- Building strong networks and links with key individuals has been crucial to the project’s success and reputation.
- Quality members of staff have been appointed and have also been key to the project’s success
